STATE OF THE GAME

State Of The Game: February 2021
Greetings, Travelers! Head mod here, bringing with you an update on our plans for the game and a request for feedback!
Game Schedule
Stella Fortuna is intended to be a short-term game, but players have the option of carrying over their characters to the next 'chapter' or 'season'. Each chapter will be set in a different area and play out a plotline that will conclude itself within four months. We designed this system so that players will be able to experience the ending of a game without it taking too long, and at the same time being able to return for a similar experience if they wished to.
For our current chapter, we plan for it to last until mid-April. We currently have Chapter 1.5 and Chapter 2 in the works.
March 2021: Stormterror's Lair will be unlocked for exploration. We will also have a memory share event where characters can either experience Mondstadt's past, or each other's pasts. Characters will have the option of adopting a Seelie pet after completing the event.
April 2021: The earlier half of the month will be our confrontation with Stormterror, as well as characters meeting their mysterious host. If possible, we would like to fit in Ludi Harpastum, Mondstadt's festival for characters to relax and enjoy as a conclusion to Chapter 1.
Chapter 1.5 will take place in Dragonspine Mountain! This will be mostly exploration-focused. There will not be any NPCs around to interact with the PCs (since they've all died), and PCs will mostly be investigating the ruins of the mountain and how it came to be the way it is.
We would like to ask for your feedback: Should Chapter 1.5 be 1 month, or 2 months?
Chapter 2 will take place in Liyue and run similarly to Chapter 1. We plan for it to be around 3.5 months as well, which means it will conclude either in September or October depending on how long Chapter 1.5 will be. As Genshin releases more and more patches, we will continue to plan out more content for future chapters.
System Updates
Our applications will be opening once more on February 22nd at 00:00 GMT. We have 6 player slots available at the current time.
After considering various options, we plan to have applications open for seven days like our first round. We will queue all new player apps that are submitted past the first six, up to a maximum of ten. The queued apps will be accepted once new player slots fill up. We want to avoid the 'reserve rush' or 'application rush' of bigger games and thought it to be an okay compromise. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to field it to us.
Game Pacing
What are your thoughts about the game's content level? Our goal of having two quests a month is to give players alternative events that they can participate in if they aren't too interested in the main story quest. Commissions are also provided on the side for slice-of-life events. We currently release all events at the start of the month, and give players 1 month to thread out the content. We hope that commission threads or quest threads can be submitted within the current month, so we opt to release it earlier.
We would like to know if players prefer us to release things every 2 weeks, or slow down the scope of side story quests if they are too complicated. Do you find that you have too little time to thread out the quests to completion? Are the quest requirements too complex? What sorts of 'side story quests' would you like to see? Most of our planned events involve the game's lore, but we have also been considering side story quests that focus less on the world and more on the players. Are there any specific genres of events that you would be interested in participating?
