Congratulations on beating the game! With the Raiden Shogun convinced, the Vision Hunt Decree has been repealed, as well as the Sakoku Decree. It will take time, but Inazuma will eventually reopen its trading routes with other nations once more. However, that's for Inazuma's officials to worry about. Your job here is done, and it's time for a well-earned rest!

The unfortunate thing about being away from your homeworld is that your soul will eventually become unstable. Forneus has been maintaining your souls while you are here, and he has sent other Travelers home when their souls became dangerously unstable. With three nations unchained, he thinks it's a good time to send everyone home to recuperate. Upon your return to your homeworld (if you choose to go home), the reward for your contractual service will be delivered, and you will also retain your Vision. Since the Vision partially draws on surrounding elements, it may be weaker in your world depending on the ambient mana levels.

For now, you are free to explore Inazuma or return to one of the other two nations for a last visit. Or you can go home immediately through Forneus' office. Instead of borrowing a local festival, he has chosen to throw a sort-of farewell party at his private residence, and you're invited to come try out cuisine from other worlds... including worlds with very unusual food.

What Remains

The Inazuma chapter of Stella Fortuna has come to an end, and with it the current run of the game. The game community will be kept open as a sandbox for old and new players alike to bring in characters during this IC interim period. Feel free to toplevel or tag in to the log posts!

Lastly, a big thank you to all players, current and past, for sticking with us throughout the twelve months of Stella Fortuna! It has been a crazy ride, and we couldn't have finished the game's plot without your participation. We would like to hear any feedback you might have for the game, whether good or bad, so that we can do better in our next game.

With the Sacred Sakura and the Mikage Furnace both stabilized, it is time to leave the Shogun's Inazuma behind and visit islands further west. Watatsumi Island is the home base for Resistance forces, and Forneus wishes you to visit so that you can witness their way of life - not much different from the Inazumans who live under the flag of the Electro Archon. Yet they worship an entirely different deity, one that has since passed on; the Watatsumi Omikami, whose body forms Watatsumi Island and whose bones litter Yashiori Island after its defeat.

The Watatsumi Army

Watatsumi Island is beautiful in a different way from the other Inazuman Islands - kelp and other seaweed-like plants grow freely on its pastel-coloured soil, a homage (or perhaps proof) of the legend that the island was formed by the Watatsumi Omikami out of the coral that it broke off its body. The people of Watatsumi live in a village surrounding their shrine, and there's nothing really different about the gentle, peaceful aura of this village and Konda Village on Narukami Island. The Watatsumi islanders make their living as artisans and fishermen, handing down the traditions of their god through rituals and songs.

If asked, they will tell you a history that is very different from what you may have heard in Narukami Island. Their Watatsumi Omikami brought them to the surface from their original home on the ocean floor, sacrificing body and soul to keep their people safe. When the flames of the Archon War began to consume Teyvat, their god agreed to cede control over Yashiori Island and its surrounding waters so that it could keep its people safe. This truce continued for thousands of years, until the darkness of the Abyss reached Inazuma five hundred years ago. A war was fought between the Watatsumi Omikami and the Raiden Shogun, resulting in its death. Some consider the Shogun as their god's murderer, while others attribute it to the indiscriminate chaos and malice that pervaded the era. Others don't care, and seem content to live in the present... if only things aren't just as filled with conflict as they were before.

Watatsumi Island maintains its own military force, and their army was mobilized as soon as the Vision Hunt Decree was announced. The Island has become some sort of refuge for Vision holders who have lost theirs, or are afraid of having it taken away. As a result, the islanders are more welcoming towards foreigners than those on Narukami Island. You can also meet Kokomi, the Divine Priestess of Watatsumi Island, and the current leader of their community. There are plans for the Watatsumi Army to move out against the Shogunate's forces next month, a direct conflict that would draw out the Shogun from her seclusion within her domain, and she expects your participation in their forces. It seems like a certain someone named Charon has already pre-emptively volunteered you for the battle.

The Watatsumi Army has been at war for almost a year, and the battle fatigue is evident in their soldiers. For now, they are granted a respite to restore their spirits before the inevitable conflict. As for you, Traveler, you can look around the island, take some fetch quests, or maybe go scuba diving for a bit. The waters around Watatsumi Island are truly beautiful, with a vibrancy unmatched by any other location on Teyvat. Perhaps it would be a good memory to take home once you're done here.

Shady Dealings

Kokomi has another request, if you are willing to listen. Recently, a foreign benefactor has offered her a mysterious weapon that can turn the tide of battle against the Shogunate. He has demonstrated this weapon to be able to grant people the ability to manipulate the elements, yet is not a Vision. However, Kokomi is greatly suspicious of his offer - it sounds too good to be true, yet she can't turn it down immediately in case it does prove to be useful. As fresh faces to Watatsumi, you would be able to investigate without anyone suspecting ulterior motives.

The mysterious man is nowhere to be found, but Kokomi has told you that he asked her to meet him on Yashiori Island. Poking around the eastern edge of the island will reveal some sort of door built into the cliffside. You may have to knock out the guards before entering - the place is run by Fatui, surprise surprise. You are highly encouraged to just knock them out instead of killing them permanently. As for this foreign benefactor, he turns out to be one of the Fatui Harbingers. Unfortunately, he isn't one for answering questions, and he taunts you as unseen vents release horrible miasma from beneath your feet.

Except it doesn't work. Scaramouche's smug aura quickly turns into one of rage and disbelief as the Tatarigami rolls harmlessly around you, as if repelled by an invisible barrier. He engages you in battle without hesitation, using powerful Eletro magic and a thin katana to defend himself. You'll need good teamwork to force him to retreat - but even if he cuts you down, you will wake up again in Forneus' office without any permanent injuries. The power of a Fatui Harbinger is formidable indeed. As for what to do with the strange factory once he's gone... you can return to investigate the strange eye-shaped objects being stored there, or destroy it entirely. The foul magicks at work within should never be allowed to escape.

The Oncoming Storm

It is guaranteed by this point that you will be meeting the Raiden Shogun in battle. However, Forneus explains that he is not sending you to your deaths by fighting another god - the true Raiden Shogun, Baal resides within a closed-off realm much like your own teapot. The Raiden Shogun that people see around Inazuma is a vessel that carries out her directive without her actually needing to be there. As a result, she has become distanced from her own country. By leveraging your status as a Traveler from another world, you will be able to pierce her isolation and meet her in her Teapot. There, you must convince her to leave by showing her the resolve and thoughts of her people. You still have a month or so to collect these stories to show her. No pressure.

As of this month, Stella Fortuna has entered Endgame, with the plot concluding in December. We have come a long way since our opening in January, and we would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has stuck with us on this journey.

The Travelers' reputation of solving crises is precisely why the Miko of the Grand Narukami Shrine has asked for your assistance. She is the one granting you the passes that will allow you to roam throughout Inazuma unquestioned. Forneus, known to her (and the rest of Inazuma) as Charon, informs you that the Yashiro Commission would act as your point of contact for more worldly affairs.

Periodic Reminders

AC requirements are halved from now onwards. Meaning you will only need to submit one thread of 5+ comments from your character, freeing up more threads for bonus regains should you wish to get them.

Stella Fortuna's last chapter will be in December 2021. The community will remain open as a sandbox for players to use, whether to thread out further adventures in Teyvat or perhaps visit each other's worlds.

The Vision Hunt

The Travelers are escorted to the Yashiro Commission after leaving Ritou. The Yashiro Commission manage festivals and other civil affairs in Inazuma, and thus its members are most in tune with the well-being of Inazuma's people. After the Electro Archon decreed her Vision Hunt, they were also the first to notice the insidious side effects of this decree. It is for this reason that Kamisato Ayaka seeks your aid - the lady of the house speaks behind a screen panel, wishing you to visit those who have lost their Visions and try to assist them.

Travelers will find Kurosawa Kyounosuke living on the outskirts of Inazuma City. The residents are accusing him of withholding provisions distributed by the government, but he claims to have no knowledge of the matter. Investigating the area around his home would reveal several purchase receipts and IOUs from the local grocery store... and the owner tells you Kyounosuke has been purchasing provisions for his neighbours out of his own pocket. Now that losing his Vision has somehow made him forget about that, his beneficiaries now turn on him in resentment. How would you resolve this situation and pacify the people?

Tejima living in Kondo Village has a different predicament. He thinks of leaving the Village, even though everyone pleads for him to stay, because he has forgotten the reason he settled here. You will have to search for his journal in the village, then explain to him that he had been waiting here for someone. The loss of his Vision has robbed him of all memory relating to the woman he was waiting for. It seems this side effect was not foreseen by any of the villagers either.

Perhaps the most tragic is Domon, owner of a dojo in Inazuma City who trains his disciples in the Meikyo Shisui art. Passing by his dojo would let you hear his panicked ravings. His disciples believe him to be possessed, but your Vision glows and Forneus allows you to peer at what his mind sees. He hallucinates his past sparring partners spitting on him for ruining their dreams. You have to somehow convince him that all is not lost, a difficult task seeing that he has lost his Vision... and thus his ambition.

Now that you have witnessed the personal tragedies that befall those who have lost their Visions, it brings to mind the question of why the Raiden Shogun still enacts the Decree. Most of the locals don't see anything wrong with it, either - in fact, those jealous of Vision Users' power might even see it as deserved. Certainly, there must be people in Inazuma who oppose the decree... perhaps to the degree of smuggling away Vision Users, or resisting the Shogunate. But where?

A Request From Kazari

As you pass the broken shrine outside Kondo Village, a Shrine Maiden approaches you. She asks for your aid in cleaning Inazuma's Sacred Sakura using a special rite. The Ritual has not been performed for years, resulting in the Sakura growing ill from all the evils it has absorbed. The Sacred Sakura is found on Mount Yogou, while its smaller brethren reside in Kondo Village, Araumi, Chinju Forest, and in the sea beside the Kamisato Estate. Each offshoot of the Sakura must be purified by aligning the flow of Electro energy through the tree, then defeating the condensed filth that pours forth from the tree. Once all that is done, the central tree must also be purified likewise, or the miasmic tumour entangled in its roots will one day burst and wreck havoc all over Inazuma.

Characters who complete this request will receive a Letter from Kazari in which she thanks the Traveler and imparts to them a small Omamori charm. It appears to be quite ordinary, but perhaps it has some latent powers. She will also explain to them her origins as the memories of the late Kitsune Saiguu, who perished in the war against the Abyss after Khaenri'ah's fall. Now that she is able to fulfil her duties of protecting the Sakura, she will fade away from this world.

Happy new year....! In Teyvat, that is. It is now January ingame, and Liyue's people go about their disaster recovery efforts with more vigour than before. After all, the Lantern Rite is slated to occur in the latter half of January, and the Qixing are hyping it up in a bid to steer the nation's sights to the future. While this seems like a time of respite after the harrowing encounter with Osial, there's still more work to be done for the Travelers before they can rest. Because... something, or someone, has been kidnapping people from Liyue.

We're going to the beach next month. September will be spent in the Golden Apple Archipelago, and we will head to Inazuma in October. Please look forward to it!

Cleanup

The storm over Guyun Stone Forest dissipates with the defeat of Osial, and the torrential rains give way to a clear, beautiful sunset. Liyue has survived through the power of unity, and it seems the harbour city is taking its first few steps in moving forward. The Qixing make an announcement that Rex Lapis has failed a divine trial and has returned to Celestia, something that the Adepti appear to accept. The uneasy tension is slowly but surely fading, assisted by occasional intimidation of any lagging Fatui who unfortunately failed to evacuate in time.

Liyue is a lot more populated than Mondstadt, and disaster recovery accordingly needs more hands. The Ministry of Civil Affairs are seeking able hands to assist in building repair, street sweeping, and material procurement amongst other things. There's no shortage of commissions for the able Traveler, and your experience in Mondstadt, if any, should give you an edge over the rest. Though, if heavy lifting is not your type of job, there's also another mystery that comes to light in the wake of Rex Lapis' departure. Some miners who previously worked near the Chasm have gone missing, their families now coming to the Millelith for assistance. They were last seen near Nantianmen, and the area's upsurge in Geovishap activity has led to fears for the worst. Just what has caused these usually hibernating creatures to emerge en masse? It's a mystery that could have grave consequences if left unsolved... and something Zhongli is taking great interest in, for some reason.

The Qixing are also advertising this year's Lantern Rite with great enthusiasm - a festival which commemorates the arrival of the new year, as well as the memories of those who have passed on. The Lantern Rite will be our mid-month event for August! Merchants from far and wide travel to the harbour to set up their stalls, showing off wares ranging from accessories, food, works of art, to an impromptu poetry rap contest. Of course, there's also lantern weaving and gathering special Plaustritefor the Mingxiao Lantern - this year, it'll look like one of the Adepti, to honour their contributions to Liyue. If you pitch in with the festival help, the locals are sure to give you discounts when the festival actually begins.

As for the festival itself, it will occur on January 21st and last until the end of the month. Hopefully the missing miners are found before then.

A Wish

As thanks for the success of Liyue's trial, Forneus has offered to grant everyone a small wish.

What counts as a small wish? For example, you can ask to have one of your (minor canon) abilities restored, or for an item from home. It seems he's getting better at transferring things from other worlds into Teyvat without getting detected. How is he doing this anyway? If you're curious, he might give you an answer. Or not.

It's time. After our month's vacation, Liyue's trial fast approaches. Nothing like the experience of living through an actual historic event, huh?

We have decided on an endgame time estimate. SF will include the Inazuma chapter, and is projected to end in November 2021 with our wind-down chapter in December.

The Plan

Liyue needs to survive without the protection of its Archon. To test their readiness, they must face a real danger. For this purpose the Travelers and the Fatui have gathered in the harbour: to stage a danger to Liyue,and to give its people the push that they need to move on.

The Rite of Descension is set to happen in the first week of December. The locals will tell you that this is the yearly opportunity to meet Rex Lapis in person and seek his blessings. He would also be tasked to provide economic forecast for the upcoming year. The ceremony itself is hosted at Yujing Terrace, with many natives offering incense and wishes at various censers. The centre of the terrace hosts a large brazier, whose smoke will call the Lord of Geo out from the heavens. Locals and foreigners alike flock to the Rite, and all are welcome to witness Liyue's splendor. Travelers are invited as well - there's nothing pertinent to do at this ceremony, and it would be a good time to witness more of Liyue's customs.

Except it doesn't quite go the way most expect it to. The sky turns dark, and instead of a dragon descending gracefully upon earth, it's the Exuvia falling with an unceremonious thud. The crowd is instantly plunged into unrest, and the Milielith begin to lock down the venue. Or you could also use the teleportation spell that Forneus has added to your Vision, allowing the locals to forget you were ever there.

The atmosphere in Liyue changes greatly after the Rite. Whispers of doubt begin to rise amongst the populace, and the locals voice their worries about surviving without their god. Here's where you come in - try to quell their doubts, help out around the city, tussle with some Fatui and also to organize the Rite of Parting. Rex Lapis' funeral will require the gathering of many materials: the best Silk Flower perfume, wild Glaze Lilies from Dihua Marsh, the milk of a cocogoat, and verifying the quality of jade minerals with the power of fire. Just by contributing, you'll send a message to Liyue's people that they too are capable of moving on.

The Adepti too begin to leave their seclusion after Rex Lapis' sudden death - in defense of Liyue, they seek to strengthen the various mechanisms that have been built around the city during the Archon War. However, there are only so many of the Adepti around, and they are more inclined to accept human help after persuasion by one of their number. Travelers can assist with repair of old mechanisms and gathering materials for such a purpose. Doing so will earn them the Adepti's approval, and some tokens of gratitude should you prove yourself worthy.

If you're the sort inclined to dance on the dark side, you can use your Fatui disguise to continue menacing the populace. Simply lurking around will put everyone on edge - you might be at risk of some hostilities, but the teleportation spell will get you out of any confrontations quickly. Lingering in the Fatui's base at Northland Bank will also reveal the next part of their plan: they seek to resurrect the demon god Osial, who sleeps beneath Guyun Stone Forest. Their objective of doing so is to lure out whoever has inherited Rex Lapis' divine power so that they can take the god's heart for themselves.

Very ominous, huh? The tension in the harbour city continues to grow, but life must go on, and the strength of humanity proven to its Adepti guardians.

So what happens now?

The majority of activities for the first two weeks of July are set in Liyue and surrounding areas to gather rare historic materials for a god's funeral. Each of the special items needed for the Rite of Parting require hard work to be obtained:

- Noctilucous Jade has to be mined, and then superheated in water to test the quality of its glow
- Wild Glaze Lilies will only bloom when someone sings to them with a pure heart
- Making different types of solid perfume from various varieties of Silk Flowers is mostly manual labour, but it takes effort to distinguish the varieties in the first place
- A certain zombie girl is asking you to hunt a cocogoat in Mount Tianheng in exchange for some incense. She doesn't remember what a cocogoat is, except that it's an Adeptibeast.

Helping the Adepti repair Liyue's defense mechanisms will entail characters seeking out various types of lumber, giving them to the Adepti for processing, and then carefully replacing various parts. Characters can work together to carry items, or figure out how the mechanisms are supposed to be maintained.

Characters will also be forewarned that they will need to face the Lord of the Vortex, Osial, very soon. Forneus' intention is for humanity to triumph against the god by joining forces with the Adepti and fighting together. As for what happens to Osial - should it be defeated, Forneus will ensure that it will never rise to menace Liyue again by erasing it from existence.

After spending a month on Death Mountain and purifying Durin's corpse, it's finally time to leave the winter behind and head southwest. The start of ingame November will bring our characters on a two-week long journey to Liyue, the Harbour of Stone and Contracts.

The hiatus mechanic has been updated! The character can either be put on autopilot, or be put into soul maintenance. This involves Forneus taking them into his office and placing them into stasis while he stabilizes their selves from periodic disturbances.

The Plan So Far

Forneus will gather the travelers for a short briefing at the start of November, before they begin their journey to Liyue. He will inform them that he has been asked by the Archon of Liyue to orchestrate a trial for the nation, to test if they are truly ready to live without him. To do that, the travelers will be disguised as outside agents and asked to cause chaos in the streets of varying severity. The Cryo Archon has lent her foreign military forces to the effort, and the travelers will meet their Fatui colleagues once they arrive. Forneus will give an enchantment that will allow everyone to don or shed their disguise at will, letting them explore Liyue as their own selves if they so wish to.

But to do that, you have to get there first. And unfortunately, it's a two-week hike.

The Travelers will descend from the north side of Dragonspine, passing by Dawn Winery and heading through Stone Gate into Dihua Marsh. After that, they will enter the Guili Plains, an area full of historic ruins of a civilization that once was. Unlike Vindagnyr, it was not annihilated; its people merely moved. Exploring around the ruins will reveal signs of a sorrowful tale; of a land ravaged by war.

After two weeks of walking, you'll arrive at Liyue Harbour, where merchants flock and all ships dock. Try to get some nice rest - while the travelers will need to pitch tents on some nights, they'll be able to check into various roadside inns courtesy of Forneus' money, including the renowned Wangshu Inn!

So what happens now?

June will be a lighter period in the game for characters to bond with each other while traveling as a group, and later while exploring and trolling Liyue to the best of their ability. Forneus will not be available for the first two weeks as he is busy; instead Zhongli is tasked with answering questions in his place.

We also have a retroactive poll on characters' IC decision on whether to tell the Adventurers' Guild about Vindagnyr or not. Telling the truth will lead to more NPCs entering Dragonspine Mountain and experiencing the same truth that the outlanders have come to conclusions about. Not telling them about Vindagnyr (aka answering 'there's nothing there') will instead divert the Guild's attention to other matters, such as investigating Abyss mages.

The Travelers' hard work has resulted in the stone gate keys being assembled, and on October 1st, a low rumbling from the ruins will tell everyone that the way towards upper Dragonspine is now clear. Perhaps what you find there will answer some of your questions about the world.

Discoveries

➤ Entombed City

Trekking up from Second Camp towards the ruined gate will shelter you from the cold wind, but once you pass through the gate, you find yourself assaulted by the freezing weather once again.

The gate conceals a ruined city made from stone and partially built into caves on the mountainside. The buildings have all been severely weathered by the elements, but some still stand and can be entered. These are ancient houses, and what remains of their damaged furniture tells you that people lived here. In the buildings, you may find something long covered by a brittle cloth. Be careful with that cloth, because it quickly disintegrates if you touch it. Underneath that cloth is a frozen corpse.

The inhabitants of this city have been laid to rest with simple rites and pale flowers placed around their bodies. All of them are dead.

Some golden boxes have been placed in conspicuous places around the town. Approaching them will cause them to open, and the octahedral crystal within begins to shine with a soft blue light. If you continue to stay in their vicinity, a holographic image of a man in a tunic will appear, and he will begin to narrate a message. Even though he speaks in a language that you've never heard before, you can somehow understand him.

"I leave this message for any future visitors that may come to our city. You stand in Vindagnyr, once a land of greenery and life. The winter came to our home ten years ago, and it has never left. The cold pervades the mountain and all that is below it. We pray to the gods for salvation, but they do not answer us anymore.

The priests have decided that we are to barricade ourselves in the city. We wait until one of our scouts return with news of a land yet untouched by the snow. I leave this message for any of our lost brethren who may one day return. If you are watching this, then the end has already come for us."

The recording ends, and the box closes itself. It can be replayed by pressing a button on the outside of the box. Similar boxes can be recovered from the ruins, describing records of life in Vindagnyr during the blizzard. Relics and weapons can also be recovered from the Entombed City. It's probably not grave robbing... probably?

➤ The Skyfrost Nail

One building stands out amongst the ruins - the highest one, built with evident care as a temple. The ruin conceals a Domain entrance, but you'll definitely need to be well-prepared before going in. As soon as the Domain's doors open, a blustering wind blows out of its interior, and the cold is unlike anything you've ever seen.

Inside the Domain is a tree with white bark. Something has fallen through the ceiling of the Domain onto the tree, splintering its branches. The Skyfrost Nail emits vast quantities of sheer cold - perhaps, it is the source of the misfortune that has befallen this city. The very top of the Nail glows with a bright white light, a beacon that is visible even from Mondstadt.

The white tree had been grown with care on a pedestal. Below the pedestal is a sunken area. It's hard to guess at what it had been used for. However, the pit is filled with ice, and inside the ice are the clear forms of a dozen priests kneeling down in prayer. All of them wear a circlet of white branches, visible through the ice.

What will you do?

Returning to Forneus will elicit some answers. The Travelers can choose to try and destroy the Skyfrost Nail, thus breaking Vindagnyr and thus all of Dragonspine from a prison of eternal ice. However, doing so would also defrost that strange object on the slopes of the mountain. They will also have to decide if they will tell the Adventurers' Guild about the entombed city of Vindagnyr.

There are many options, and Forneus will not make any decisions for you. The Travelers will need to come to a consensus themselves.

April Mid-Month Update
Greetings, Travelers, and welcome to Stella Fortuna!
State of the World

After Dvalin's purification, there have been no further time loops as Mondstadt has finally synced up with the outside world. The Windblume Festival will run through to September 20th, giving characters plenty of time to relax and enjoy some vacation time. However, time waits for no man, and our heroes will be approached by the Adventurers' Guild on September 15th to join an expedition to Dragonspine Mountain.

"Quests"

➤ Prelude: A Solitary Light

Characters waking up on September 13th may notice a bright light coming from the very peak of Dragonspine Mountain. Hanging around the Adventurers' Guild will hear that the locals are very interested in what that could be, though due to the dangers of the mountain, no one has been able to go up and check it out. A quest will be posted to the Guild a few days later, gathering volunteers for an expedition. Due to the dangers present in the unnaturally cold mountain, the expedition team will proceed upward in stages.

A Base Camp has been erected at the foot of Dragonspine Mountain, with tents provided for characters to crash on. However, it's probably easier to just teleport back to Mondstadt and sleep in your room. The Base Camp has a blacksmith and a field kitchen for quick repairs and resupplies. A representative from the Adventurers' Guild will be there to help, and Forneus has provided another of his glowing doors in case you want to yell at him. However, it's mostly up to the outlanders this time. There's no one on that mountain, after all.

Dragonspine Mountain is unnaturally cold. When characters leave Base Camp, there's an immediately noticeable drop in temperature as they walk into the snow-covered mountain. It's as if there's an invisible frost line on the ground. Maybe it's because of magic? Regardless, the chill of the mountain quickly permeates any ill-equipped Traveler. Pyro Vision users have the advantage of being able to keep warm, and there are unlit braziers scattered around the mountain paths that can be lit to provide temporary warmth. The braziers go out after a couple of minutes, so the biggest priority for everyone is to establish Second Camp halfway up the mountain. There's a clearing and ruined buildings in the middle of the mountain, as well as a Statue of the Seven. The Statue seems to nullify the unnatural cold in its vicinity, but hauling supplies to Second Camp without getting frozen will require hard work.

If hiking isn't quite your cup of tea, there's also that uh... giant dragon skeleton cave... on the other side of the mountain. The ominous-looking red jewels scattered around Dragonspine Mountain has the unusual capability of keeping you warm when you hold them. However, if you keep it for too long, it seems to be... staining your clothes? And if you really do keep the stone on your person for more than 24 hours, the jewels will begin to pulse as if with a heartbeat. Spooky. And what's up with that tree?

The ruins of the Second Camp seem to contain some sort of sealed room. The room's outside is decorated by glowing carvings. Maybe if you find other places on the mountain with these carvings, you might get a key? There does seem to be a very conveniently placed cave entrance just below. But beware if you're going in: it's a long drop down.

➤ The Windblume Festival

The Windblume Festival continues until September 20th. The city has been decorated well in the outlander's absence, and their status as heroes makes everyone give them a warm welcome to their stalls. New characters will also receive the same reception if they are accompanied by an existing character.

The festival is one that celebrates freedom and love. The people of Mondstadt gift flowers to their friends and family, and bards are out on the streets playing joyful songs. The Knights of Favonius have also organized some gliding challenges and balloon popper competitions to bring up the hype. There's even a large mirror leading into a Domain that acts like a fairground maze. Completing these challenges will give Windblume tickets that can be exchanged for Mora and your typical fair prizes at the Adventurers' Guild. They've really pulled the stops out to try and cheer up Mondstadt's citizens.

➤ Forneus' Gift

On the morning of September 20th, all characters who were present for the Dvalin fight will wake up with a tiny gift box on their chest. The box's wrapping paper is the same colour as their vision. Opening the box will reveal a shining gem, which then dissolves into light when your character picks it up. The light goes into their body, and they will feel a surge of power and greater attunement to the elements around them.

Congratulations for finishing Chapter 1! You have now leveled up to First Ascension. But hang in there - it'll only get more difficult from now on.

State of the World

On August 31st, the last barrier in Stormterror's Lair dissipates, allowing characters to ascend to the top of the tower and confront the dragon Dvalin. Battle is inevitable, though the goal is not to kill the dragon, but to remove all the toxic spikes that Abyss Mages have embedded into his body. After liberating Dvalin from his grief and poison, characters return to Mondstadt lauded as heroes - just in time for the Windblume Festival!

Our April Log Post will go up on April 1st at 00:00 GMT!

System Updates

March AC will be check-in. The month has been hard on everyone, and we don't want to add stress on top of everyone's plates. If you have already submitted AC for March, you can use those threads to get a Medium Regain instead! Please link your AC toplevel in the comment to redeem.

Applications will now accept +1s. With more player slots opening up, we will be allowing existing players to bring a friend as a +1. Applications will open on April 12th, and new characters will arrive in time for Chapter 1.5 set in Dragonspine Mountain. If we receive more players than there are at cap, we will continue to accept 3 more applications, up to a maximum of 10 new players. The eighth to tenth new player app will be queued and accepted when players slots open up. New characters can join in for the Windblume Festival.

Preparation for Chapter 1.5. As we head into the next season of Stella Fortuna, players may canon update their characters before the next chapter commences. We will require a check-in whether you would like to continue onto the next adventure, or drop from the game for the time being. Please indicate your preference here, and mention if you would like to canon update. The check-in will close on April 19th.

Chapter 1.5 will commence soon! Characters will be sent to Dragonspine Mountain to explore the ruins of an ancient kingdom. The tone for Chapter 1.5 is different from Chapter 1 - there will not be any NPCs, and the focus will be more on survival and solving puzzles to ascend to the mountain's peak where characters will receive some sort of revelation. Death is a very real possibility in this chapter. An OOC post for our next chapter will go up when applications open on April 12th.

Quests

➤ Main Story Quest: Song of the Dragon and Freedom

On the morning of August 31st, a scout from the Knights of Favonius will return with a report - the energy barrier sealing Stormterror's Ascent has disappeared. Somehow, all the NPCs are in agreement that the outlanders will be the one to confront the dragon in an aerial battle. Teamwork is vital against Dvalin - after all, the goal is not to kill him, but to destroy the poisonous spikes that have pierced his body. Dvalin takes to the skies, and Venti's winds will bear up everyone so that they can snipe those spikes in the air. Once half of the spikes have been torn off, Dvalin will land on a series of raised platforms high up in the sky. Various updrafts are present to help everyone gain height on their gliders, and they will bring up any character who happens to fall off.

It takes time, but the miasma around Dvalin clears a little more with each broken spike. As the last spike is removed from his body, a great explosion of Anemo energy consumes the battleground - there's the sensation of falling, and then everything turns white. When everyone opens their eyes, they would find themselves on Dvalin's back, and the dragon will gently bear everyone down to the Temple of the Thousand Winds so that they can return home. The dragon's form has returned to a pure, bright green - free from the Abyssal poison, his temperament becomes calmer, and he doesn't have a desire to fight anymore. After sending the outlanders to safety, he will return to his perch to rest.

➤ The Windblume Festival

When characters go to sleep on the night of August 31st, they will next wake up on September 5th. Thankfully, time doesn't seem intent on rewinding anymore, and the city has started to decorate itself for the Windblume Festival in the outlanders' absence. NPCs comment on their five-day disappearance by worrying if they've gotten enough rest. Wow, you must have slept like a log! With the city grateful for their help in solving the Stormterror crisis, characters are given free reign to enjoy the festival to their heart's content.

➤ A Mysterious Invitation

During the festival, a glowing doorway will appear to the outlanders at night. Stepping through the door will bring you to a featureless white room with a table and several chairs. A young man stands before you, and he thanks you for your help in resolving the Stormterror crisis before introducing himself as Forneus, the God of Time.

He will be available to thread out and answer some questions. The gist of what he will tell every character is:

➛ Every character agreed to help Mondstadt, but they were memory wiped of this until the Stormterror crisis was averted.
➛ He granted everyone's Visions, but also tells them that the Vision cannot be controlled by him once it is given away.
➛ He needs the outlanders' help because they do not have pre-destined fates written by Celestia, who rule over all of Teyvat.
➛ He was responsible for the timeloops. After all, he's the God of Time.
➛ So what does he want the outlanders to do? Change the course of history.
➛ He will offer to show everyone the 'truth' of Celestia's cruelty firsthand. This is an explicit invitation to Chapter 1.5's setting - Dragonspine Mountain, a place left desolate by Celestia's decrees.

To help motivate reluctant characters to continue staying in Stella Fortuna, he will offer them another deal - by helping out in Teyvat, they will gain increased power using their Vision, and it will be a power that they can take home once their job here is done. He is able to return characters back home at the exact moment they left their world, so players who want to swap out their character can do so.

New characters who arrive in Chapter 1.5 and beyond will have a different arrival mechanic as well. They will need to agree to Forneus' contract of sending them to Teyvat. He will offer to them the chance of obtaining a Vision and the promise of sending them home to the exact time they left once they're done. If your character needs more incentives, check in with us at the Mod Contact Post and we can work something out!

Thanks to the outlanders' help in rebuilding Mondstadt, they would find that time has once again moved forward to August 24th on the first of March. The week will end on August 30th and once again be looping backward for a total of four weeks. However, subsequent loops will see certain changes enacted in the city around them, most notably Stormterror's Lair where new areas will open up for exploration. There is a general impending sense of anticipation hanging around the Adventurers' Guild and the Knights of Favonius - it seems a confrontation with Stormterror himself is on the horizon.

Quests and Commissions

Main Story Quest: For A Tomorrow Without Tears

Break In, Break Out
On the morning of the first Monday (August 24th), characters who have skill in stealth or infiltration will receive a letter from Venti, asking them to steal the Holy Lyre Der Himmel from the Church of Favonius. Attached is a handy map to where one can enter the underground section of the Church. You can bring a buddy to finish the stealth segment, but as soon as you arrive at the plinth where the lyre is, a strangely dressed woman appears and teleports out with the lyre. The commotion also draws the attention of Knights on duty, and characters will have to flee the Church posthaste if they wish to avoid being thrown into jail.

It seems that time and space distortions are in effect in the basement, because multiple people can try to take on the infiltration mission at once and all receive the same result. Luckily, the Knights of Favonius seem to forget about your little excursion into the Church as soon as it becomes Tuesday. Weird.

Fatui Excision
On the first Tuesday, characters who have helped out with Temple Run last month may receive a request to retrieve the Lyre from a Fatui hideout in Mondstadt. It seems they have made their base in a Domain, which means getting through the Domain will require some diplomacy... or you could just beat up the guards. No one's stopping you. Venti will come and take the Lyre once characters have exited the domain. It seems he's really in a hurry, because he doesn't stop to chat...

Tuesday night will be when Venti, Jean and Diluc attempt to liaison with Dvalin. Unfortunately, it does not go well, and the Holy Lyre is broken in the ensuing chaos. This part will be handwaved, but the knowledge of what transpired can be told to other outlanders, and Jean will retell it to people who ask her.

Exploring The Lair
On the first Wednesday, the Adventurers' Guild will be posting a recruitment notice for an expedition to Stormterror's Lair. It seems the wind barrier around the area has finally dissipated, allowing entry into the ruins. The priority for the guild is to clear out Hilichurls and Ruin Guards that are patrolling the area, as well as solve some light puzzles that are blocking various entry points into the ruined citadel. This part is a free and easy exploration quest, with a new light actuator being unlocked with every time loop. As for Stormterror himself, he may occassionally rouse from his lair to blanket the area with some tornadoes, meaning that the Guild campsite erected nearby will need some fixing time and again.

A little girl called Ella Musk has also come on the expedition. She offers some basic Hilichurlian langauge help, as well as teaching the outlanders a certain dance. If an outlander does this dance in front of an aggressive Hilichurl, the Hilichurl will then calm down and can be convinced to leave the area as an alternative to just beating them up.

When the timeloop resets, the camp will stay as it is, and monsters will not respawn. Outlanders will be able to clear a path towards the bottom of the ruined castle and ascend its steps over the course of the month. Stormterror rests at the top of the tower, but a mysterious force blocks characters from ascending the final floor...

Thread Eligibility
Submit a thread of your character carrying out any of the below tasks to the quest turn-in toplevel to receive quest rewards. Quest threads must be submitted by the end of this month to be eligible for rewards.

- Breaking into the Church
- Retrieving the Holy Lyre, by hook or by crook
- Exploring Stormterror's lair and doing some combat along the way
- Slice-of-life camping in Stormterror's Lair
- Solving the light actuator puzzle
- Interacting with hilichurls

Event Quest: Misplaced Memories

Characters may be approached by various Seelies throughout the month of March. These spirits come in a rainbow of colours, and will hover around a character until they follow the Seelie. They may appear anywhere around Mondstadt's wilds, but will not appear in the city. After following the Seelie for about ten minutes, characters will be able to find relics of Mondstadt's past, or a small item from a PC's homeworld. Touching the relic or item will instantly transport the character and anyone accompanying them into a vision of someone's memory.

Outlanders' Memories

These are memories that belong to a PC. Essentially, a memshare mechanic! They can be triggered by small items from a PC's homeworld, something that would qualify as a small regain. Upon touching the item, characters will be transported into the memory, and experience it as if they were concretely there. Whether the people within the memory recognize the visitor is up to the players' choice. All damage taken within the memory will not have an effect on the character's physical body.

Once the vision ends, the small item will dissolve into light and fade away. The Seelie that found the trinket will be satisfied, and will accompany a character on their journey like a pet. Players can pick the colour of their character's Seelie pet and give them a basic personality.

Mondstadt's Memories

These memories will be available to anyone who touches a relic belonging to a certain artifact set. Characters will experience a scene from Mondstadt's past, and they will be compelled to act out the memory by playing the role of one of the participants. After the memory reaches its conclusion, the characters participating will return to reality with the artifact before them. The artifact will dissolve into light, entering their body and increasing their skill in using their Vision. Each character can only be strengthened once, even if they participate in multiple memories.

Clicking on the name of the memory will bring you to a wiki page where the various relics in the memory's set can be viewed.

Wanderer's Troupe

Old Mondstadt is under a certain Aristocracy, and you are merely a bard in a troupe of wanderers who want their song to be heard. You and your crew are no mere musicians, however, for you are all skilled in combat and music, and can even combine both for efficiency. You'll need them in order to get out of sticky situations, especially when the guards give chase to you and your friends. The bards know too much, they say. History must not be repeated, and yet here they are, composing arias that tell humanity of their faults. The sooner they are silenced, the better.

But that's not right, you think. Anyone in their right mind wouldn't think that. Which is why you and your troupe are merely going to make your voices louder, even if it involves taking down a corrupt ruler or two. You are to zip through Old Mondstadt and fight off any oppressors that come your way with the help of your quick wit and your melodious weapons at hand, shutting down anyone who wishes to silence you along the way. Bonus points if you manage to ward any forces with an all-encompassing attack.

In the end, all efforts will be futile -- for the Wanderer's Troupe are to disband when their uprising falls apart. Some of you will die at the hands of the enemy forces with no regrets other than not being able to sing a love song to their beloved now that they've been selected as the princess of the Ludi Harpastum festival, and some will be captured and forced to become gladiators, fighting for their lives to the death. But while the Wanderer's Troupe will be no more, their songs and spirit of rebellion will continue to live on, and who knows -- this might inspire other people to sing even louder for their freedom.

Gladiator's Finale

In Old Mondstadt, there is an arena where nobles watch gladiators fight and kill each other for their own entertainment.

You are the reigning champion. You fight for your master, who brings you to grand feasts after your victories and even crafted a brooch for you out of a simple flower. He speaks fondly of you, and you happily fight for him - he even gifted you a fine golden goblet, a symbol of just how much he cared for you.

You could’ve been free once, you once desired it more than anything - you wanted to see beautiful wild flowers, like the brooch you wore. But your master tempted you to stay, with fine feasts and lavish gifts, to keep bestoying him victory upon victory. And you agreed, the allure of victory both for yourself and him keeping you ensnared, bound by the golden chains of vanity.

Today you fight against a girl with blazing red hair, a young woman whose apparent timidness hides a fierce spirit. You’re the reigning champion, you know you will be able to win this, just like all the other fights before. But the battle is long and fierce -

Or you’re Vennessa. You and your people have been enslaved by the nobles of Mondstadt, after you were chased to starvation by a drake - before then, your people wandered the sea of grass endlessly. Now you fight in the arena for their entertainment and a possible chance to free your people, and so far you haven’t lost a single battle. So long as you keep fighting, you can make sure that your people have some semblance of a life within the city.

You are to fight the reigning champion, who wields a spear said to be a gift from his master. It is a tough fight, but soon your sword pierces his heart - and with that the champion finally falls.

The gladiator calls for his master, to know if his final fight pleased him, but there is no response - where his master would be, there is an empty seat and silverware toppled over in a haste to leave. No matter how well one fights here, their lives are only petty entertainment for the nobles. Resigned to his death, he turns his words to the woman who bested him;

"At first, I fought for myself, for blood and battle-lust.
But since a time I know not when, I have killed for my master.
Only for the sake of others can we fight like wild beasts without care.
Someone like you, who fights for her people and not for herself... Surely, you understand this as well."

From there, the young woman would be known as “Lion’s Tooth”, her destiny leading her towards something far greater - outside the walls of the arena that kept her confined for so long.

Bloodstained Chivalry

You are the Bloodstained Knight. Treading a path forward into the darkness, the weight of your greatsword grows ever heavier. All around you are the burning remains of villagers overrun by monsters, the sounds of battle and slaughter, and the screams of the innocent. You know that you must push forward, along with whoever still remains by your side. Your clothes and armour were once the most pristine of white, but smoke and blood have dyed them deeper than night. You may aid a civilian, but they will not look upon you as a saviour, instead fearing your ghastly visage. Monsters of all sorts rush at you, dark and menacing as if from a nightmare - but you must push forward. Your battle is without end, even as you drag your weary footsteps into the shade of a fallen tree to take some rest.

Eventually, your journey brings you to the bottom of the world. An ambush takes your life, and as your last remaining comrade holds your fading body in their arms, you receive a revelation - the name of a fallen kingdom whose people were cursed to become monsters.

March Commissions

Due to the heavy nature of March's events, March's commissions will be on the lighter side to balance things out.

1. The Fantabulous Beercycle

Person: The BTKOB Group (The Brew That Keeps On Brewing)
Request: “You must have seen us around, yes? Mondstadt is a city known for the higher pleasures in life, and its citizens can always bounce back from just about anything! Help us out for the day and we’ll reward you.”

The BTKOB Group will ask Travelers to either a.) escort eager and possibly already drunk customers pedaling away on the Brewcycle towards various locations in the city (these customers are all of varying athleticism and most of them are probably bards) or b.) pedal the Brewcycle themselves to wherever their guests are waiting. Maybe just down the street, maybe outside the city, maybe all the way to Springvale???

There’s something about the Brewcycle that’s clearly tempting to monsters, thieves, or just well-meaning bards, so Travelers may have their hands full while riding or escorting.

Reward: A large amount of Mora, a a three/four star meal of their choice, and five Free Drink vouchers from Mondstadt’s most popular establishments.

2. New Frontiers of Art

Person: Caitie
Request: “Hello, I work at a local art exhibit in the Market District. Our twenty year anniversary is coming up, so we were planning on a free exhibition, but we’ve lost so much during the attack… If you could spare us some of your time, then I would be ever so grateful.”

Caitie is an older lady who is clearly stressed about the condition of her lovely art gallery. The building itself is still standing, but completely empty of all the art that once graced its halls. Caitie’s request is this:

She would like Travelers to fill up the gallery either by submitting their own art or rallying others to contribute pieces of their own. She will accept just about anything because everything in the world is art: visual, graphic, music, or performing. Give her paintings, sculptures, models, music, or plays/performances! Board games! Fashion! Real life sculptures (naked or otherwise)! Toys! Anime!

The only caveat is that whatever it is, it has to be worked on by two or more Travelers. The upcoming theme to her gallery’s exhibition is “Cooperation”, after all!

Reward: A small amount of Mora, a permanent spot for their work of art in the gallery, and also a Guide Book that may prove useful for characters practicing their Visions.

February OOC Post
Greetings, Travelers, and welcome to Stella Fortuna!
State of the World

For the first week of February, IC time will continue the time loop from January: that is, looping once more from August 10th to August 16th. However, the NPCs will begin to remark that the Travelers have helped them out a lot with their tasks. This is one of the changes that have appeared in the time loop. Characters will also receive a Wind Glider as thanks, delivered to their mailbox!

The other change is that on Thursday (August 13th), a huge windstorm will blanket all of Mondstadt. Woven into the blustering winds is the form of a large dragon, and its cries can be heard along with the howling winds. Only after chasing off the dragon will the winds abate enough for characters to leave the city. Doing so and resolving the storm completely will constitute our main quest for this month.

ICly, the tasks in our main quest will be completed by characters before Sunday ends. Once Monday rolls around once more, they’ll be pleasantly surprised to find that the date has advanced to August 17th. The second to fourth weeks of February will be spent looping from August 17th to August 23rd, and characters will have plenty of new things to do in the new time period.

System Updates

Thank you, Travelers, for making our soft opening a success! We’re still learning on how best to run our game smoothly, and we’ve decided to implement several changes going forward to make things easier:

Character tags are now live! They are in the format of canon: character. Thank you Eski for the suggestion!

New players can only be invited by one of the mods. We wanted to keep Stella Fortuna a small, closed game so that we are able to custom-tailor the content better, and while we are heartened by the overwhelming response, we would like to keep it private as intended. Players will not be able to invite other people into the game starting from the next app round. Current players who arrived as +1s will be grandfathered in; we are grateful for your support and your time!

Increased limit on ability regains. Our proposed limit is one major ability every two months, and one minor ability every month. We wish to encourage characters to use teamwork and their Vision to complete quests instead of relying on canon abilities. Our previous regain limits were set with the expectation of having less than twenty characters, but with the large size of the game, we find that players will find it much easier to obtain threads that are eligible for regain redemption. All quests and commissions will be written so that they can be completed using solely Vision abilities and a character count of two. We are willing to discuss this change further if players feel that it is unreasonable.

Revamped commissions system. Originally, our commissions system was written up as a way to deliver custom content to players. However, we only anticipated up to 10 players maximum, and the workload quickly multiplies with our current capped playerbase. This month, we will be giving more information in the commissions' descriptions, and characters are only required to turn in the completed threads for rewards. While all commissions are designed so that they can be successfully completed, it is also okay to fail the commissions if you would like your characters to experience the bitter taste of defeat or the hilarity of shitposting. Any questions about the commissions or any super-creative ideas that you want to run by us can be posted under the questions toplevel on this post.

A character can do both the main and side quest for each month, choosing one doesn't lock you out of the other.

Cut-off time for player-submitted commissions. Players will need to submit their commission information to us 7 days before the current month ends so that we can put it into the next month's OOC post. We aim to release the OOC post earlier before the log post, as our events are quite large and we would like to give players ample time to plot.

Last but not least, AC will begin in February. Please submit your threads to the permanent AC post by 2/28!

Quests and Commissions

Main Story Quest: The Outlander Who Caught The Wind

On the morning of Thursday (August 13th), a huge windstorm will blanket all of Mondstadt. Its cause is evident - a huge dragon soars through the skies above, diving down to claw off loose roof tiles and tearing holes through the city’s windmills. Terrified residents try to flee from the tornadoes that it summons, taking shelter in Mondstadt's Northwestern districts. Characters can choose to help the Knights of Favonius and Adventurers' Guild in evacuating civilians to safety, or soar into the skies using the windstorms and their new Wind Glider.

Taking Flight
Should they choose to do so, they may hear a familiar voice and feel the wind bear them high into the sky. The voice will instruct characters to harness the power of their Vision to fire energy shots at their dragon assailant. Their elemental bolts will not strike the dragon's body, instead being directed towards the strange purple spikes that are embedded in its neck and back. It seems your mysterious benefactor wishes you to harm the dragon as little as possible. After characters manage to shatter one of the purple spikes, the dragon will fly off somewhere north of Mondstadt, and the upcurrents will cease to function.

Temple Run
After landing, the Knights of Favonius will gather all Adventurers to an emergency meeting at the Knights' Headquarters. There, Jean explains that the dragon is referred to by the Knights as Stormterror, and that Stormterror has been conducting frequent raids on Mondstadt. Characters will be requested to clear out one of the three Domains that are supplying Stormterror with Anemo energy from the earth's Ley Lines. They are: Temple of the Falcon, Temple of the Wolf, and Temple of the Lion. Characters may ask for more details about these temples, and learn that they were once dedicated to worshipping Mondstadt's protectors: The Four Winds. Over time, the people of Mondstadt have forgotten their old traditions involving the winds, and their temples have since been abandoned and left to ruin. Nevertheless, the power of the Four Winds is still active even though their people have lost faith in them.

The Temples' doors will only open when more than one Vision user is present. Characters will be granted entry when they hold out their Vision physically towards the gate. Mysteriously, multiple parties who enter the Temple one after another will arrive at different locations within the Temple, and will not encounter other exploration parties no matter how thorough they are. It seems that the Temple Domains possess some strange power that makes them much bigger on the inside, and a short time spent within a Domain can translate to several hours having passed outside. There are elemental puzzles present that will require characters to solve by hitting Elemental switches with the right element, or by using elemental reactions to open gates and defeat monsters. At the end of the Temple, characters will find a large green crystal filled with Anemo energy in the centre of a room. Destroying the crystal will dissipate the stored power and produce a portal that leads them back outside the Temple. Once all three crystals in the Temples have been destroyed, the windstorm will cease.

More than one exploration party can explore a Domain, and they will all emerge from the Domain at the same time regardless of when they entered. An example of how the Temples look like, and the monsters that characters may encounter can be found here.

For characters who prefer to stay out of battle, there's always the option of exploring the Knights' Library and reading up about the Four Winds. Characters who do their homework will be able to find out more information about Stormterror - or rather, the dragon Dvalin, once a protector of Mondstadt. Why would he turn on the city he so loved? There are many possibilities. Hopefully the books can provoke some thoughtful conversation.

After the Storm
After Stormterror's departure, Mondstadt's citizens begin their arduous task of fixing what was destroyed. If characters pitch in to help anytime from August 17th to August 23rd, whatever they have patched up in the city will remain and not be reset by the timeloop.

Thread Eligibility
Submit a thread of your character carrying out any of the below tasks to the quest turn-in toplevel to receive quest rewards. Quest threads must be submitted by the end of this month to be eligible for rewards.

- Helping the Knights evacuate civilians into Mondstadt City's Upper District (where the stone buildings are)
- Flying together with another character and trying out combination elemental shots against Stormterror
- Exploring any of the Temples and breaking the Anemo crystal
- Researching in the library and discussing their findings
- Helping Mondstadt's citizens clean up the aftermath of the windstorm, such as retrieving fallen items, clearing debris, patching up the windmills, fixing roof tiles, etc.

Side Story Quest: The Legends of Wolvendom

On August 17th, an urgent commission will be posted to the Adventurers' Guild. Draff, the head of the hunters from Springvale, has enlisted Adventurers' help to investigate a wolf attack in Springvale. Characters will learn that a pack of black wolves attacked the boars that live around Springvale, and one of them injured a hunter, Allan. Springvale's hunters are all up in arms, wanting to enter Wolvendom and hunt the wolves in retribution. However, Amber is also at the scene, trying to calm them down.

Characters who venture into Wolvendom will notice that the wild woods are shrouded by a dense fog. The native wolves have grey pelts, distinctively different from the black wolves that were witnessed to attack Springvale. They may come across injured grey wolves, or hostile black wolves. The grey wolves may be accompanied by a wolf boy trying to tend to their wounds. When grey wolves and black wolves encounter each other, they will begin to fight until one party retreats or dies. Speaking to the wolf boy or making observations will reveal that the grey wolves are native inhabitants of Wolvendom, and the black wolves, who come from another territory, are responsible for killing boars and hurting hunters.

Unfortunately, wolves cannot offer monetary reward for helping them out. However, the Springvale hunters may offer Mora if you kill wolves and bring back their pelts, until they are convinced that the wolves are not a threat.

Quest Completion
The outcome of this quest will be determined by the combined effects of Travelers' actions. The number of character threads counting towards the positive outcome and the negative outcome will be collated at the end of the month to determine the final result. Quest threads must be submitted by the end of this month to be eligible for rewards, if any.

Should characters try to convince the Springvale citizens that the wolves are not a threat, and avoid harming the grey wolves, the quest will be considered successfully completed, and the Guardian of Wolvendom will issue combat commissions for Travelers in the future.

Should characters harm or kill too many grey wolves, or let Springvale's attitude towards the wolves deteriorate, the quest will be considered failed, and this will have lasting consequences on the state of the world.

If you're stuck on ideas, here are some objectives that you can thread out with another player:

- Convincing the hunters of Springvale to stand down OR agree with them
- Hunting wolves (if they are so inclined)
- Breaking up a fight between wolf packs (or joining in)
- Collecting herbal medicine for injured grey wolves
- Chasing off black wolves who are attacking boars near Springvale
- Exploring Wolvendom and observing the two wolf packs

February Commissions

1. An Outside Perspective

Person: Jameson Jams Jamsborini from Monstadt’s Tourist Travel Advisory
Request: “I need help revamping the Mondstadt Travel Guide for future tourists. I am looking for creativity! Panache! And absolutely anything you can think of that expresses the charm of this wonderful city. What – wind? Dragons? We don’t have time to unpack all that at the moment, thank you very much.”

Characters will be asked to come up with any ideas they can think of. A food/beer tour of all the taverns in Mondstadt? 10 Things You Should Do In The Favonius Catheral Before You’re Kicked Out? Or maybe even a list of the most eligible bachelors/bachelorettes in Mondstadt! (If asked for their opinions, the majority of the city will highly recommend Kaeya as #1). Favorite dating spots! Worst dating spots! Spots where you’re most likely to get dumped! All of the stray cats of Mondstadt and the names they might respond to! Go wild, y’all.

Reward: A medium amount of Mora, their picture in the Mondstadt Travel Guide, and (1) elemental immunity potion of the chara’s choice!

2. Library Management

Person: Lisa Minci, Head Librarian of the Knights of Favonius
Request: "Strange that these certain people will be returning the books they borrowed this late... I'd personally take them back myself, but I'll be attending a meeting with the fellow Knights later, so could you be a dear and seek them out for me? I knew I could count on you, cutie." ♥

Characters will be tasked to find certain people who have yet to return their library books on time. It's not as easy at it looks, though -- while Grace at the Cathedral would have the book at the ready when asked, Ella Musk, the little scholar of Hilichurlian linguistics, would say that she left her book on Hilichurl language at the Thousand Winds Temple -- which is guarded by a Ruin Guard, oops. Travelers must defeat the Ruin Guard first before retrieving the book safely, as it is very strong and may overwhelm anyone who dares disturb it with its heat-seeking missiles and large arms that flail around in circles repeatedly to knock people off their feet.

Reward: A generous amount of Mora, and a copy of Hilichurl Ballad Selection Vol. 2.

3. Road Rage

Person: Huffman, Knight of Favonius
Request: “Good day, Traveller. While I imagine you’re busy with everything that’s going on, I was wanting to ask for your aid in a matter. With all the commotion with the storm, some of the Hilichurl camps have taken advantage of our lapse in patrols and set up barricades along the roads into the city. Could I ask for you to deal with them, before they harm someone?”

This commission will become available on August 17th.

Characters will be requested to head out to the roads that lead in and out of Mondstadt, where some Hilichurl have set up camps and barricades. Though why would they set up barricades in the first place? The answer won’t become clear until the Hilichurls are defeated (watch out, there’s a few with Electro bows and arrows this time) and the characters are working on destroying the barricades - brute force or Pyro visions work best - as reinforcements will soon appear. Heading the charge is an Abyss Mage (Hydro, Cryo or Pyro), looking rather unhappy that its plan has been thwarted. And it’s also brought along a Mitachurl, which is both much larger and much stronger than a normal hilichurl, with a nasty-looking axe in hand. Which is on fire. Characters will need to work together to defeat both that and the Abyss Mage - and be careful, a hit from a Mitachurl will always send them flying.

Reward: A medium amount of Mora, a 2-star weapon of
their choice.

4. A Thousand Wishes

Person: Tsurumaru Kuninaga
Request: "Let's make a wish together. If we make a thousand, a wish will come true..."

If you fold a thousand paper cranes, they say the gods will grant your wish. Help Tsurumaru put the legend to the test. He'll tell you a legend, teach you how to fold a crane, shove some papers at you, and put you to work. You can make as many or as few as you want but he needs 1000 total so let's go, everyone.

(It's possible to do this commission with Tsurumaru as your second but you're free to do it with someone else. When accepting it, please let me know how many cranes will be made and the overall quality of the cranes. Are they neat? Wrinkled? Did you give him a bunch of crumpled paper? Tsurumaru is a simple spirit so you only need to give him at least one crane!)

Reward: A surprise.

January OOC Post
Greetings, Travelers, and welcome to Stella Fortuna!
State of the World

For the first two weeks of the game, IC time will be looping from August 10th to August 16th. It's currently late summer in Mondstadt, and the trees are just beginning to turn out their autumn colours. The weather is cool and pleasant, with light showers on Tuesday (11th) and Friday (14th). It's also a good time to go out gathering berries and nature's bounty from Mondstadt's forests and valleys.

Our first group of characters will appear throughout Monday (10th) near the fountain in Market Square. NPCs will completely not notice the character’s arrival and treat them as if they had always been there. Even though nothing consequential seems to be happening in the city, characters should probably try to get used to their new life and using their Vision before things start to shake up a bit.

There will be no activity requirements for January, so all threads started during this time period can be used for regains!

The January IC log post will go up on our log community on January 18th. Till then, please use this post to plot with your fellow players.

Commissions Listing

1. Books of Exotic Taste

Person: Charles Mingle, self-proclaimed distinguished novelist
Request: “I require help regarding a rare, one-of-kind, extremely popular book. Please only respond if you possess a significant amount of taste.”

Charles Mingle is a struggling writer determined to write a world-wide hit on the Mondstadt Distinguished Best-sellers List. He requires the help of a mind much more cultured (or uncultured?) than his, and will accept as many different plot ideas and samples as the characters can offer. You may choose to take his request for an all-ages novel, or an erotic novel. No explicit descriptions are necessary, this commission is mostly for the memes.

Reward: A medium amount of Mora, a personal dedication to your characters, and also a copy of the hopefully award-winning novel.

2. Food Delivery

Person: Sara, waitress at Good Hunter
Request: “Good Hunter has received a surge in orders lately! Please help us deliver the food to our customers!”

Characters will receive a request to deliver some piping-hot food to adventurers out in the wilderness! Some food will require special care during transport. Please don’t eat the rations, Sara will be unhappy.

Reward: A small amount of Mora and a hot meal. Mmm, steak.

3. Forging Ahead

Person: Wagner, the Mondstadt blacksmith
Request: “I’ve heard news about a rare blue ore popping up around Mondstadt. If I get a good supply of this ore, I might be able to forge something better than my previous work.”

Characters will need to go out and mine for Crystal Ore and Resonant Ore. They can be hacked at with pickaxes or claymores, or they can be retrieved by Geo Vision users. Or if you’re a Pyro with an Electro buddy, you can try… explosive mining. Note that being a Vision user doesn’t make you immune to friendly fire or collateral damage.

This commission is more difficult than the others and characters will probably have to face a lot of physical exertion.

Reward: A weapon!

4. Clutch Rescue

Person: Adeline, from Springvale
Request: “Several of my prize hens have gone missing! I’m so worried for my beautiful girls. Please look around and find out where they might have gone!”

Adeline’s hens are missing. She shut them in the coop a few days ago, but someone seems to have broken into the coop and taken a few hens. The remaining hens are all in various states of fright from the abduction attempt.

Characters will need to use Elemental Sight to track the Cryo marks on the coop into a nearby Domain. There will be a battle against an Abyss Mage who luckily only wanted eggs.

Reward: EGGS! And Adeline’s eternal gratitude.

5. Paranormal Activity

Person: Boris, from the Adventurers’ Guild

Request: “I’ve heard rumours of a green-coloured ghost wandering Mondstadt at night… Some say the ghost haunts the Whispering Woods and Windrise. Is it really true? Is anyone brave enough to look?”

This is an RNG commission! Please specify if you would like to thread out a combat or non-combat commission. Your character may encounter monsters, Seelies, a mysterious NPC, or all three.

Reward: ???

Accepting Commissions

The mods will not thread out most quests with players; instead players will receive a write-up of the quest process. After threading out the quest with their thread partner, the thread can then be submitted to the OOC post for their rewards.

For example:

➤ Players A and B wish to participate in a commission.
➤ Player A comments to the OOC post with the sign-up form and includes both their characters. The form will include how their characters will handle the commission request.
➤ Mods will then comment to the sign-up form with a text description of what their characters are likely to encounter while trying to fulfil the request.
➤ Players A and B then thread out their characters doing the commission.
➤ After the thread has achieved the commission’s objective, player A replies to the mod comment with the thread link.
➤ Mods will then comment to the thread link with the characters’ rewards.

Players are allowed to backtag the previous month’s commissions. However, threads of commissions from two months back cannot be turned in for rewards anymore.
