Commission: Books of Exotic Taste
Characters: Lutha and Claude
Approach: Claude is absolutely trying to get this to be something like a romantic comedy and have a lot of fun with it, appeal to the masses, etc. Lutha has like zero sense of humor and will consider it a waste for something trivial and dumb, they'll bicker back and forth a little, but Lutha will be pushing for something more serious in tone - if you're going to write something and want it to last, you have to make the message important, like it's the only story you'll be able to write; so if someone was to dig up the author's story in a thousand years, do they want it to be some one off comedy or do they actually want to give some sort of message? Claude will stop poking when he figures Lutha actually isn't kidding around, but RIP the author for having to sit through this poor conversation.

They'll pitch some ideas like fables and stuff like this, Lutha tends a little more bitter while Claude will push for a happy ending, which Lutha thinks is unrealistic but he'll give in so long as it's actually grounded in something and not just covering up a sour message with "and then they were happy the end."
